Are you given a number with a security tie that actually
helps track your income, accounts and life?
Do you work hard to earn your keep simply to find your
government kept more than a fair share?
Are you still protected under the wonder of the 4th
Amendment or is it merely another fantasy?
What does the IRS give to you?
Fear, panic and a means to be a criminal without knowing the crime?
History warned us of what could be if we dared
to falter on our liberty.
Romans once roamed as free men who later fell
under chain so their mighty
empire could collect its due,
same as ours now collects from me and you…
You think we’re free? You still believe we have representatives
upholding a constitution long since adulterated beyond recognition…
You think we’re free? Dare to be caught
by the tax man,
feel the draconian punishments of a spy system
once strong with honor, now ripe with pain…
You think we’re free? Listen to our politicians as they
promise Robin Hood’s device, to soak the rich and
give to those they’ve chosen for the hope of a poor man’s vote….
