Her Face I Knew

We met in the most untraditional way

The time past when hearts longed for a friend

Our circles were never likely to blend

Modern-day miracles; no bar did we stay

Exploring, I happened upon her vision

Responding to my impulsive dream

Seeking words that might make her beam

She responded--we sparked a fusion

Over the days we typed for our own delight

Commencing a union of strangers

Disregarding all inherent dangers

Anxious eyes straining from monitor’s light

Can we form a future for one to be two

Daily we talked with no vocal word

Messages read oft times reserved

When first we met--her face I knew
